Company Overview

We have assembled an unparalleled proprietary database across Cyprus, comprising thousands of drill holes and soil samples, detailed geological maps (from regional to prospect scale), and a comprehensive range of geophysical datasets, all of which would cost in excess of €100m if replicated today.

Venus is proud of its roots and expertise in Cyprus, and works closely with local contractors, tradespeople and labourers from nearby communities. We have forged relationships with local industry partners, and our on-ground activities are steered by Dr Nicos Adamides, a world-renowned Cypriot geologist and VMS expert, who honed his skills on the Island’s rocks during a career spanning almost 50 years.

Venus has amalgamated this local expertise with an international management team that brings mining and exploration experience from endeavours around the world. Collectively, we look forward to working with all stakeholders on a voyage of discovery and development that can deliver lasting benefits to all.

Business Model & Strategy

Venus has positioned itself to be a near-term, low-cost copper producer at a time when tightening of supply and increasing demand are placing significant upside pressure on the copper price. The copper to be produced at Apliki is 99.999%, making it a highly sought-after product. Venus has the opportunity to continue a contract with Glencore that guarantees the sale of all copper produced at a premium price to Spot.

Cash derived from Apliki will be used to fund activities on the Company’s 100% owned projects across the North Troodos region. The Magellan Project hosts JORC 2012 Resources totalling 9.5Mt @ 0.65%. These Resources have significant growth potential, and work continues to further evaluate them and determine whether they might be able to provide additional ore to the Apliki mining project.

Venus’ pipeline of projects is further enhanced by its grassroots exploration projects which are positioned amongst many of the island’s largest historical producing mines. Venus continues to evaluate new areas of interest utilising its proprietary island-wide database, and added two new project areas to its portfolio during 2021.
